Yale Day of Service Afterparty
Please join us to celebrate the Yale Day of Service with friends and former classmates who share a passion for participating in our greater Boston community through service. We will celebrate along with more than 3,500 alumni who volunteered at sites in over 20 countries worldwide.
If you participated in any of the YDOS service sites, or if you are simply interested in serving your community, you are welcome!
We will be taking book donations for students at Bunker Hill Community College in lieu of an admission fee - any books in good condition are welcome. Children's books, in addition to adult, are appreciated. Drinks and light fare will be provided.
About The Forsyth Institute: Over one hundred years ago, the Forsyth Institute was founded to provide free dental care to Boston’s poorest children. Today, Forsyth scientists have demonstrated distinct connections between oral diseases and health challenges like heart disease, diabetes, and even certain cancers, and are tackling other global infectious diseases like tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS. In the years ahead, the Forsyth will continue to leverage its unique knowledge of oral and associated systemic diseases to elucidate new biomedical insights, and to find the best ways— unfettered by convention—to help billions live healthier lives.
Directions: The Forsythe Institute is located at 245 First Street in Cambridge, and the entrance is around the corner on Athenaeum Street. Street parking is available, and there is a parking garage adjacent to the building.
The party will be held on the 17th floor. Guests may be asked to check in at the front desk before going up.
