Twenty-seven years ago, a group of black students came together to create a space on the campus of Yale University where their voices - and the music they loved - could be heard. Led by Titilayo Ngwenya, Shades has risen to become one of Yale's premier a capella groups since the group's inception. Their name stands as a testament to their appreciation of diversity within the group as we celebrate the depth and complexity of the black experience.
Join us on Friday, March 17, as we welcome Shades for a performance at Trinity Church. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.
