How We Taste: Book Launch for Distilled Knowledge

Join us at WorkBar Cambridge to celebrate the launch of Distilled Knowledge: The Science Behind Drinking’s Greatest Myths, Legends, and Unanswered Questions, by our own Brian Hoefling ES'12!

Brian is a writer, cocktail historian, and the founder of the Herzog Cocktail School, which provides lessons on the history and preparation of classic cocktails. His talk will cover the scientific principles covered in the book, with a particular focus on what it means to taste: the smells, sensations, and even psychological triggers that contribute to our perception of flavor.

The talk will begin at 6:30 (doors open at 6:00), and will be followed by a Q&A and signing. Copies of Distilled Knowledge will be available for purchase, courtesy of the Harvard Book Store.
