The Opposite of Loneliness: Essays and Stories at The Coop

The Harvard Coop is hosting a reading fromĀ The Opposite of Loneliness, a posthumously-published collection of essays by Marina Keegan SY'12. Marina was a Massachusetts native and a friend to many in our alumni community. We hope you'll be able to join us in listening to the words she left behind.

From the organizers: "The event will feature readings by Anne Fadiman and Beth McNamara, Marina's former teachers at Yale and BB&N. Anne is author of The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down and the introduction to Keegan's collection, while Beth wrote the Reader's Guide. Marina's parents Tracy and Kevin Keegan will also take questions at the end.

"Marina Keegan's star was on the rise when she graduated magna cum laude from Yale in May 2012. Tragically, five days after graduation, Keegan died in a car crash. The Opposite of Loneliness (Scribner) is her unforgettable collection of essays and stories that articulates the struggle all of us face as we figure out what we aspire to be and how to harness our talents to impact the world."
